Croatian Coastline

After camping out at the waterfall national park for a couple nights we caught ourselves a bus to the coast for a 6 hour bus ride to the coast. We managed to snooze a little in between chattering and eagerly anticipating our arrival in Split.

Soryn!
We didn't waste anytime finding a place to jump into that beautiful turquoise water.

on the Island Bracs, our favorite part of our time on the coast. We took a ferry there one afternoon and had a memorable time, eating pizza, getting Soryn's ears pierced, and swimming on the not-so-crowded beaches.
Fish, its what we had for dinner.

Friends had told me how amazing Croatia was and I was not in the least disappointed!! It feels like a dream that we were ever there. Hard to believe it was just a few weeks ago we were so far away, and now I'm here in drought stricken Texas. The contrast seems almost unreal.

More pictures to come of our time in England. I just got back from a week at camp as a counselor to 10 little girls. I'm tired but it was a wonderful week. To be sure, I'm counting my blessings for such an amazing summer! And its not over yet!

Croatian Waterfalls

At then end of June, before flying from Hungary, my friend Soryn and I made our way down to Croatia by train. At Zagreb, the capital, we caught a bus to Plitvice National park. Known for its emerald green lakes and numerous waterfalls, Plitvice was an incredible sight. We camped close to the park for two nights and enjoyed pizza, swimming, and hiking.

From there we caught a bus to the coastline city of Split... More pictures to come....

Lake Balaton

Hungary's "sea"
In early June I visited Lake Balaton to confirm the rumors as true.
It is a beautiful lake and the Hungarians have every right to be proud of it.
I enjoyed my weekend away there entirely too much, and I can't wait to go back.
